The Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers Service Commission Nancy Macharia, is under pressure to withdraw disciplinary letters from teachers.
The letters sent to teachers who have been unable to report to school due to insecurity matters in North- Eastern.
Council of governors, Section of MPs, KNUT AND KUPPET wants the commission to thereafter address the state of teachers who were affected.
A total of 129 teachers have the letters due to the level of insecurity and increased banditry attacks in Northern Kenya.
KNEC to withdraw letters amid rallies.
Therefore, the teachers prompt to have rallies in support of the MPs at the parliament building next week.
They want Dr. Macharia to withdraw the letters from them, and push further for a solution on their transfer.
They want a transfer from the Northern counties and areas of Wajir, Garissa and Mandera due to the high insecurity.

According to Dr Erick Mutai the chairperson Education Committee Council of governors, says the leadership is on the lookout.
He says the insecurity in the North -Eastern results to many non-local teachers to be out of schools.

He also adds that, the government units is concerned on the turn of events regarding insecurity, teaching and learning.
Dr Mutai urges the TSC to allow teachers to work in a safe environment inorder to provide quality education to learners.
He says teachers need a safe working environment so as to provide great services to their learners than working in fear.

He says, teachers should not work in hostile areas inorder to save them from psychological torture.
Dr Mutai adds that, many teachers pass through killings and torture intensely leaving behind widows and widowers and orphans.
He says the actions must halt even as the national government has plans to end security in the areas.
