New guidelines ahead of national examinations.
New guidelines over national examinations are set by the Kenya National Examination Council Chief Executive Officer David Njengere.
CEO Njengere has given directories, rules and regulations as far as the 2023 national examinations is concerned.
Pick examination papers twice a day
He has ordered the officials to pick the examinations papers for morning hours in the morning,and afternoon for afternoon ones.
Njengere says, morning papers should be done and after collection of the papers, the afternoon papers should be collected thereafter.

He also adds that, the council will use 576 containers or distribution centers for Kenya Primary School Education Assessment.
In addition, the same format is going to be used to store the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination papers and K.C.P.E.
Employ tight security in examination centers
An additional 82 containers is provided to cater for the additional 13 sub-counties that tend to miss distribution containers.
He adds that, the council has identified the examinations centers to the nearest distribution points to ensure efficiency in collection.
Although, some centers will have to pick the papers from the nearest sub-counties or nearest counties.

He warns, no unauthorized persons shall be allowed to pick the examinations or allowed to enter the examinations centers.
This is to enhance security of the national examinations, and centre managers, supervisors and invigilators will be allowed to the centers.
Before the beginning of exams, he expects centre managers to prepare a list of support staff workers, and submit to the county director.
Furthermore, he adds that the Council will mount a brief sensitization on those who are concerned in administration of examinations.
Practice integrity during exam season
He urges the members to be present during the meeting on sensitization to avoid inconveniences during the examinations period.
He also assures members that, the El’nino rains are taken care of and should not worry the well being of exams.
