KUPPET THREATENS TO BAR EXAMS.
The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) now threatens to bar exams over pay row.
The Union threatens to shun from exam supervision, marking of the exam papers and also invigilation this year.
KUPPET cites poor treatment. This comes after the scheduling dates for issuing exams this month is first approaching.
This comes after the past experiences where teachers did not receive allowances .
Through the national officials, the union laments that,the working conditions they are exposing teachers to are poor.

Delay in payments of allowances is also a big problem that the Union faces.
Kuppet Vows To Abscond Exam Invigilation Over Pay.
The Union now demands a clear agreement between the KNEC and the Kuppet before the members can come into a consensus.
The leaders, speaks during an annual general meeting of the Kuppet branch in Mosocho, Kisii County on Tuesday.
Officials from regions like, Western, Nyanza and Rift Valley came together during the Annual General Meeting in Kisii.
In a brief, the National Deputy Secretary General Moses Nthurima says, the Union has no agreement with the KNEC body.

The KNEC has no agreement with the Kuppet Union in matters of invigilation and supervision.
Furthermore, he calls upon the KNEC to engage the Union to address the issues that affects the teachers.
He says, it’s a show of discrimination when the security officers who guard exams are paid earlier while teachers wait.
Kuppet calls upon the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to improve the working conditions of teachers.
The working conditions of teachers who mark the national examinations need to be improvement, teachers cannot even communicate.
Markers cannot access phones therefore can not communicate with their families appropriately.
Furthermore the teachers who mark national examinations are left to sleep in student’s dormitories which is not good .
Also he urges the KNEC to intervene before time.
