KCPE and KPSEA exams came to a halt officially on Wednesday last week.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment started on 30 October.
Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang praised the examinations managers for overseeing a smooth process.
KCPE results to be out before Christmas
He also promises that the results are to be out in a short while, and they’ll be out even before Christmas period.
The results need to be harnessed since the students will be required to join form one in earlier in the month of January.
The PS adds that, parents will have a complete information on where there children will join the next level even after Christmas.
Kipsang says, during the exam marking, there will be two shifts to ensure smooth marking activities.
KCPE and KPSEA candidates sit their final exams
The Kenya Primary School Education Assessment and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams ended in 1 November.
A total of 1,415,15 students sat their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education while 1,282,574 sat their KPSEA examinations.
The 2023 KCPE marks the last lap of 8-4-4 curriculum as the country ushers in the Competency Based Curriculum.
Government works towards 100% transition.
Kipsang further notes that, even after the transitional exams, the government hopes to meet 100% transition to secondary schools.
Furthermore, reports shows that many teachers are still applying for KCPE and KPSEA marking that is set to begin soon.
The PS is happy that, this year has a record of few teenage pregnancies experienced, and he says it’s a good move.
