The government warns the Technical and Vocational Educational Training institutions to stop offering other courses apart from the technicals.
Some Technical and Vocational Educational Training institutions have been offering other courses to boost their income.

The institutions offers the other courses as means of diversifying and expanding their revenue.
However, the Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu said the TVETs should strictly offer the courses they are supposed to.

During the National Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVETs) conference, the CS cautioned the institutions to resist offering humanities courses.
He added that,the government as already has the ability to fund the 124 TVETs institutions in terms of resources,
Such as the workable laboratories,and retooling tutors. Therefore, they need to shun away from the social studies courses.
CS Machogu warns Technical Institutions against humanity courses.
The Technical and Vocational Educational Training institutions Principal Secretary Esther Mworia says the government has embarked on re-skilling tutors.
This, she says, is in order to bridge a gap between the skills passed on to students and what the industry needs.
TVETs to be more industrious than theoretic.
She adds that, state has established and industry liase on unit that will serve as linkage between industry and training institutions.
More over, the TVETs institutions has been assigned a Liason Officer that will help in overseeing the institutions activities.
However, CS Machogu has questioned the Liason Officers over their duties and asks them to produce the annual reports.
The annual reports will help in tracking the activities and the courses and expenditures that are use in the institutions.
Government to come out clear on Funding System
Furthermore, the CS says it is vital for ensuring the disparity between training and industry skills ends.
